What is CNC milling  and drilling?
CNC drilling is another subtractive manufacturing method that focuses on creating precise holes in the workpiece according to the uploaded CAD design. It usually involves single-axis motion. The drilling machine utilizes a computer-controlled rotating drill to drill holes. At the same time, the drill size is exactly or slightly smaller than the required hole diameter.
 

Unlike other operations, the CNC drilling process is specialized for drilling holes for different applications. With the corresponding drill, you can process straight holes, center holes, tapped holes, reamed holes, and other types of holes.
 

In addition, there may be two different workpiece movements in CNC milling. In the first, the workpiece moves in the same direction as the tool rotation, which is called down milling or reverse milling. In the second case, the tool rotates against the feed direction, which is called conventional milling or down milling.
